Sapiens

One of Steam Next Fest’s most downloaded demos will soon be available in full. Solo dev Majic Jungle has announced that Sapiens is launching into Early Access on July 26 for $24.99 (with a 10% launch discount)! The original soundtrack is now available on Steam as well. Sapiens is an all-new colony sim that allows players to be architects at the dawn of man. Lead a tribe of diverse settlers as they navigate their way through the challenges of a prehistoric world, on their way to becoming ancestors of the entire human species.

For fans of city builders like Settlement Survival and Ancient Cities, Sapiens presents an experience that’s both expansive and intimate. Touch down on one of many procedurally generated worlds and guide a growing tribe daily. Assign sapiens to key roles, including resource gathering, farming, cooking, building, and more. Sapiens can also be assigned to investigation or diplomacy to help advance their society.

In Sapiens, exploration and technological advancement are key to forging a successful society. Tribe members can venture far from home to find new resources and information that can be used to learn advanced skills. Back at camp, players must take care of the sapiens by managing their moods and maintaining shelter and food supply. The fully interactable world ensures players can strategically craft the landscape as they see fit, down to the placement of every rock, wall, or tree. But beware, as an incoming storm can tear through at any moment and threaten the tribe.

Set to add extensive mod support upon Early Access through Steam Workshop, the game can be wishlisted now on Steam! Prospective sapiens can also check out the developer’s vlogs for more background on the game. Early settlers can join the Discord.
