Crunchyroll is continuing to expand the movies on its streaming service with the addition of more titles it has recently released theatrically, including That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime The Movie: Scarlet Bond, The Quintessential Quintuplets Movie, and Mobile Suit Gundam Cucuruz Doan’s Island. Additionally, a few titles that have never been available to stream outside of Japan will also be available on Crunchyroll, including Free! -the Final Stroke- Part 1 and 2, To Every You I’ve Loved Before, and To Me, The One Who Loved You.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Scarlet Bond is a stand-alone story that takes place after the second season of the popular fantasy adventure anime series it is based on, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, which is adapted from the best-selling light novel of the same name. The Quintessential Quintuplets Movie is the conclusion of the two-season romantic comedy series that follows five lovely young girls who hate studying and hire part-time tutor Futaro, who guides not only their education but also their hearts. Mobile Suit Gundam Cucuruz Doan’s Island is an adaptation of the 15th episode of the original 1979 Mobile Suit Gundam series. All three series the films are based on are also available to stream on Crunchyroll.

To Every You I’ve Loved Before and To Me, The One Who Loved You, together, are two movies that tell interwoven stories across parallel worlds while also telling their own unique perspectives. This is the first time both movies will be made available to stream outside of Japan after their original theatrical release. Crunchyroll held simultaneous US premiere screenings of both movies at Sakura-Con and Anime Boston this year. Free! -the Final Stroke-the last chapter of the Free! franchise, which is available on Crunchyroll, screened both volumes to fans at the Anime Frontier convention last year.

These new titles join the growing library of movies recently made available to stream on Crunchyroll, including JUJUTSU KAISEN 0, AKIRA, your name., Wolf Children, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, The Boy and the Beast, Afro Samurai: Resurrection, Josee, the Tiger and the Fish, The Stranger by the Shore, Sword of the Stranger, ODDTAXI In the Woods, Sing a Bit of Harmony, Fruits Basket -prelude-, Gintama: The Very Final, and Sword Art Online the Movie -Progressive- Aria of a Starless Night, among many more.

APRIL 20

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime The Movie: Scarlet Bond (8 bit)

A long-running conspiracy is swirling over a mysterious power wielded by the Queen in Raja, a small country west of Tempest. When a slime who evolved into a Demon Lord named Rimuru Tempest crosses paths with Hiiro, a survivor of the Ogre race, an incredible adventure packed with new characters begins. The power of bonds will be put to the test!  – Directed by Yasuhito Kikuchi

To Every You I’ve Loved Before (Bakken Record)

While struggling to make friends after his parent’s divorce, Koyomi Takasaki meets Kazune Takigawa, but apparently, they already have. Kazune reveals that she’s from World Line 85, an alternate universe in which she and Koyomi are lovers. But in a reality where moving between dimensions is natural, could Koyomi be the one from another world? – Directed by Jun Matsumoto

To Me, The One Who Loved You (TMS Entertainment)

Koyomi Hidaka and Shiori Sato meet at his father’s research center and begin to fall in love, but so do their parents, who eventually marry. To avoid becoming stepsiblings, they decide to run away to a parallel universe. Traveling between dimensions is common in their world, but not without repercussions. Does a universe exist for the young couple, and what will it cost them to find it? – Directed by Kenichi Kasai

APRIL 27

The Quintessential Quintuplets Movie (Bibury Animation Studios)

When five lovely young girls who hate studying hire part-time tutor Futaro, he guides not only their education but also their hearts. Time spent has brought them all closer, with feelings growing within the girls and Futaro. As they finish their third year of high school and their last school festival approaches, they set their sights on what’s next. Is there a future with one of them and Futaro? – Directed by Masato Jinbo

Mobile Suit Gundam Cucuruz Doan’s Island (Sunrise)

After a covert mission goes wrong, Mobile Suit pilot Amuro Ray and his comrades are stranded on a remote island. The battalion was sent to a land called the Island of No Return to clear off any enemy forces, only to find a group of children and an enemy mecha attack. Now Amuro must find a way for them all to escape this mysterious land, but not before meeting a strange man—Cucuruz Doan. – Directed by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko

Free! -the Final Stroke- Part 1 (Kyoto Animation)

As representatives of Japan, Haruka, Rin, and Ikuya are heading to Sidney to participate in the Swimming World Cup. They will finally compete with world-class athletes, but can they survive these games? This is the climax of the “Free!” series from Kyoto Animation. – Directed by Eisaku Kawanami

Free! -the Final Stroke- Part 2 (Kyoto Animation)

After his first appearance on the competitive world stage, Haruka was overwhelmed by Albert’s swimming and lost his way. “What are you swimming for?” His reason to swim and what the water means to him are called into question. The question has trapped Haruka, and he struggles to find the answer on his own. – Directed by Eisaku Kawanami
