HATSUNE MIKU COLORFUL STAGE! - But Why Tho

HATSUNE MIKU: COLORFUL STAGE! is the latest game to feature Hatsune Miku as a mobile rhythm game. The creative team hosted exciting happenings for the fan base at the Atlus/SEGA booth at Anime Expo 2023. While at Anime Expo we got the chance to demo the game and took a tour of the booth. In HATSUNE MIKU: COLORFUL STAGE! you join Hatsune Miku in her latest mobile rhythm game to explore the transformative power of music.

Regarding the booth tour, I loved how the Atlus/SEGA booth catered to dedicated fans of Hatsune Miku by hosting various events, such as cosplay gatherings and scores contests. Attendees had the chance to acquire exclusive Anime Expo trading cards, with changes to get rare collectibles.

Players will discover a robust cast of characters overcoming their struggles through the power of music. in the game players can enjoy the captivating storyline set in the vibrant streets of Shibuya, Tokyo, where a mysterious song named “Untitled” without lyrics or melody is passed around the youth. The song unlocks and grants access to “SEKAI,” a mysterious place where anyone can uncover their deepest emotions and their own song.

The free-to-play mobile game stars the iconic Vocaloid Hatsune Miku, has a story and free-play modes, features 200 songs, and five difficulty levels to choose from. Players are able to play on their own or create a room with up to 4 friends to share the fun together, allowing for solo or group play. Throughout the game, players will have a chance to collect character cards and customize their own band and music videos. While also upgrading skills and characters to reach higher scores. Best of all players can enjoy a virtual concert in the comfort of their home along with other players from around the world.

During our tour of the impressive Atlus/SEGA booth at Anime Expo we got to literally take the stage and play the game for ourselves. HATSUNE MIKU: COLORFUL STAGE! has a pretty approachable tap, hold, and flick gameplay that can be simple or challenging as you want to make it with the difficulty settings. I especially liked the flick control the most while playing.

I have played rhythm games in the past that only involved a tap and hold. The added flick feature made the game more engaging to me and was easy to get right away. The game also includes beautiful fluid graphics and a huge variety of music to play around with. Although I did not have time to experience everything the game had to offer during the demo, it gave a pretty idea of what fans can expect. Personally, I look forward to continuing the game by downloading the full game as soon as possible.

HATSUNE MIKU: COLORFUL STAGE! is available through the App Store and Google Play.
