The RPG Unicorn Overlord has received more details in anticipation to it’s release. ATLUS and Vanillaware have shared new information on the upcoming game, from the protagonist’s allies and enemies to an in-depth look at some of the Classes and Leaders. Unicorn Overlord combines over-world exploration and an innovative battle system in the standard Vanillaware style. The game comes from the creators of 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, Odin Sphere, and Dragon’s Crown.

Players will traverse the world while cultivating an army with over 60 uniquely designed characters. The epic fantasy experience allows you to grow your renown throughout the five nations of this world.

New protagonist allies include Rosalinde, a dark elf augur who resides in Elheim, and her elder sister Eltolinde, the Turenós of Elheim. Meanwhile, new enemies include Alaina, a witch loyal to the Zenoiran Army. Once the court sorceress of Cornia, she now serves Galerius and appears to be assisting him with a dark scheme.

Along with announcing protagonist allies and enemies, the studio also shares different Classes and combatant types. Each character has a set of class that determines their combat affinities and what weapons and skills they can use. Making use of each class’s traits will help you gain an edge in the battles to come. Play as anything from a Gladiator with strong physical attacks to a Werewolf.

Other classes include Housecarl, Arbalist, Cleric, Wyvern Knight, Shaman, Elven Fencer, and Featherbow.

The new details feature a breakdown of class compatibility, details on promotions, and a look at special items. Players will be able to utilize a Class Compatibility tool to consider the strengths and weaknesses of each class. Other updates include Leaders, different movement types, and more.
