INDIE Live Expo is returning on May 25th, 2024. The showcase takes place in Japan as its premiere online digital event. It seeks to connect indie game fans globally. The showcase will also celebrate the 10 million views the winter 2023 event drew in. This marks the 10th-ever INDIE Live event.

The event promises a fresh bundle of eye-catching indies. Tune in for world premieres and content updates across a plethora of formats. This includes the return of the rapid-fire “INDIE Waves” segment. The segment showcases dozens of short-form content updates across a plethora of titles. Witness a deep dive into a new local indie scene with the return of “Indie Studios Around the World.”

Previously the group has awarded titles include fan-favorite games such as Sea of Stars, Viewfinder, and Party Animals. The INDIE Live Expo aims to “find games worth sharing.” They seek to award games that stay true to the indie tradition and the element that makes indie games unique. While they don’t explicitly define what constitutes an indie game, they celebrate the spirit of indie creation.

Game submissions for indie developers and publishers are now open until Monday, March 11th, 7:00 PM PDT / 10:00 PM EST. Registration is free for up to one title per organization, be it a reveal of a brand new project, news for an upcoming game, major updates for previously released works, or a sale.

Ryuta Konuma, Founder and CEO, Ryu’s Office said:

“The possibilities within indie gaming are truly endless, which was the main inspiration behind our new logo. Every year we are wowed by such innovative indies that we could have never imagined. Many thanks to our supporters who make our show possible every year!”

Serving as a gateway between indie scenes across the globe, INDIE Live Expo offers English, Japanese, and Chinese broadcasts.Developers and indie game enthusiasts interested in information about future INDIE Live Expo events and opportunities can sign up for the INDIE Live Expo Letter.
