For those invested in the Kdrama front, Disney+’s selection is full of intrigue, tension, and thrills. And it looks like they’re diving even deeper into the thriller genre with the announcement of the latest Kdrama, Tempest. Boasting assassinations, political games, conspiracies, and spies, there’s something for everyone who is in love with adrenaline and heart-pounding thrills.

What is Tempest?

Set in modern-day Korea, Tempest follows Mun-ju, a highly accomplished diplomat and former ambassador to the United States, and San-ho, an international special agent as they race to uncover the truth behind an attack that threatens the future stability of the Korean peninsula.

Who is in the new Disney+ Korean Drama Series?

  • Gianna Jun (My Love from the Star, Legend of the Blue Sea) as Seo Mun-ju, a career diplomat who turns her razor-sharp intellect to uncovering the source of a lethal attack
  • Executive producer Gang Dong-won (Broker, Peninsula, A Violent Prosecutor) as San-ho, an enigmatic agent shrouded in a veil of secrets.

Tempest joins Kdrama favorites
